Low-income individuals continue to be among the most disproportionately impacted by the economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. A recent survey by Pew Research Center reported that individuals earning an annual salary less than $50,000 rated their concerns towards the pandemic 10 percentage points higher than other individuals earning higher incomes. Another important result from the study was that participants who had less education than a college degree reported concerns at 9 percentage points higher than college-educated individuals and those possessing further education.
