The WHO has described the COVID-19 pandemic as a “massive info-demic.” As fear, news consumption, and the number of unanswered questions accumulate, so has misinformation. Unfortunately, false medical claims have an increased risk of causing harm to readers–especially in a pandemic. Scientists across the world are attempting to battle this misinformation in the pursuit of saving lives.
