Brown University President Christina Paxson published an Opinion Article in the New York Times asserting that college campuses should plan to reopen in the fall with consideration to new regulations and adjustments that must be made accordingly. The financial burden and burden on students in the midst of completing their education is far too great to keep on hold. Plans to reopen must be supported by rigorous testing, focused contact tracing and new frameworks to enforce physical separations and social distancing in a productive manner.
