Michigan Convent Deaths



At a convent in Michigan, 13 Felician sisters whose ages ranged from 69 to 99, passed away from the coronavirus in the span of six weeks. The virus’s ability to target older individuals, and the close communal living of the sisters are thought to have caused this outbreak. Across its convents, the Felician Sisters of North America have since put in place strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
