Psychological Trauma and Health Workers

Frontline health workers are, on the daily, exposed to a wide array of traumas: in risking their own health and treating large numbers of patients, workers are overworked and at risk of psychological burden. Questions arise on how best to support such workers in regard to critical mental health needs and emotional support. Physical demands also burden these health workers. A robust mental health support system must be implemented to account for such ongoing challenges and burdens.
