The FBI office in New York released an alert warning of the possibility of supremacist groups' potential attempts to spread coronavirus to Jewish individuals and police officers.
The alert reported that supremacist groups were encouraging the intentional spread of the virus by having infected members spread the virus through spray bottles, in addition to attending Jewish centers of congregation.
Such an alert is a frightening reminder of intrinsic biases and acts of violence that may continue to manifest themselves within the current tensions and uncertainties of the COVID-19 crisis.
